What is "Audio Control"? [BIOS]

My motherboard has a setting named "Audio Control" set to Disabled on the BIOS. It does not tell me what it is for, but has me interested. Google has no help either.

Any ideas?

Enables or disables the on board sound this should be set to auto or disable if you have a sound card

if its in the peripheral menu its for disabling the outboard audio
