Hi,

Built a computer a few years ago with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775) as the cooler for the cpu.

Recently it has been causing some heat issues and I wondered before I remount it for the umpteenth time if there was something better on the market... possibly a bit lighter that I could replace it with.

Needs to be quiet as PC is in living room

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

No idea about lighter, but you can't get any better for air cooling than the Tuniq Tower 120 or the Thermalright Ultra 120 range :)

i currently use a zalman 9500cnps nt and its silent or close too even when on full rpm
like you i too have pc in living room and need it to be as quiet as possible
most of the noise i get from pc come's from my numerous antec fan's
