I am still in the process of experimentation to see how far I can push my 2500K. For normal operation though I don't really want to be right on the edge of the limits.

What are generally accepted as being safe max load temps to have on such a processor. Last night I managed to get up to 4.8 on 1.35 vcore but the load temps in prime were around 78. This seems too hot ?

I can run stable at 4.4 with a vcore of 1.215 which give load temps in prime into the mid 50's range, which seems better ? I have tried to look at data sheets from intel but they don't seem to really be clear on what is considered a safe 24/7 operating temp. I think that once you hot 95 the CPU will start to throttle so I imagine thats to stop it from turining into glass but running in the 90's before throttling occurs does not sound wise either ?
