Where in the North ? There's quite a bit of it up here and some marked regional differences ... but the numbers from your other thread would certainly count as good.

In 1974 I moved from Petersfield in Hampshire to St Helens, Lancashire. I believe the wage was £100 per month plus living allowances of similar.
