Well the problem started this morning whilst i was playing my way through HL2 and randomly the game would stutter, the screen would go black and than it would say that there is no signal but then it would turn back on the where i was when it started. After exiting HL2 i found in the bottom corner of my screen a little yellow triangle that said something about the Driver not responding and that it had reconnected or something like that. I went to play CS:S and the same thing started to happen as before.

When i came to see if crysis would work it would load a level but when i pressed a key to continue the screen would be totally black and i would have to alt-tab back out.

The first thing i did was to remove all of the drivers and install the new 169.25's however this solved no problems as when i played CS:S again i got a BSOD.

I'm thinking that it may be the temperature the card is at however i have not had a chance to check this yet.

check temps and crank up the default fan speed with riva tuner and see if that helps.
set to 60% purely for testing then if it helps and noise is fine keep it there

Was just about to post that i fixed it, i went into NTune and set the fan speed to 46% (47-54 is an annoying whine but 46 is almost silent)

glad to hear it, my gigabyte GT fractures the screen if i dont have riva setting the fan speed on startup but im to scared to change the stock cooler because the minute i do it will go pop and so will my chances of an RMA :(
