So just now i think i broke my 3rd wheel. And this time its the porsche 911 wheel....

in the past I've owned the Logitech MOMO (so far proven to be the most reliable) 2 Logitech G25, and one Porsche 911 wheel.

Logitech number one- The reverse gear stopped working, no big deal but i wanted one with a working reverse so i called logitech up and got them send me a new one

Logitech number two- well it stopped working all together...

Porsche 911 wheel- so the wheel has 900 Degree of rotation, and was just playing with it now when all of a sudden all FFB in 450 degrees ( right of centre) stopped responding.. playing got really hard and so retired.

Now i dont exactly abuse the wheels, though i do like drifting, and my setups are rather slippery (thats for non drift set ups to) and likes to slip ,so i counter steer with lots of speed.. could that be the cause of the porsche wheel break down?

ALSO, with the porsche wheel, when it gets warm the fan comes on, doesnt take long if the ffb is set to 100%, the fan wafts some (maybe) toxic gas around which im forced to breath in. it gives me an head ache and if i were to stick my nose right on the vent of the wheel i will feel rather dizzy.. what the hell can this be...

Over what time period? I've trashed one Momo in just over a year through RBR, but I did buy it second-hand so I'd say it did fairly well. Had my G25 for about half a year, and although there are a few tiny cracks on the casing it feels as tight and precise as the day I bought it.

Strange you get through so many wheels, I still have all mine in working order.
2 MS FFwheels (old type and one with USB) I replaced those as I wanted something better and the rubber had worn out on the wheel but they still work.

I then went for the Momo which gives a better feel but wears very quickly, Logitech sent me new pedals but I never used them as I fixed the old ones myself but then the wheel started to wear and was very sloppy. I did do a lot of fixes on that and made it better than new.
I did get tierd of fixing it so I went for the G25.

The G25 I've had for about 18months and it's never been off my desk and is in constant use. I don't work much these days so it gets hammered for hours day after day and so far shows no sign of wear or damage. I don't use the gearshifter which I hear is a bit fragile.

Im going to try and get a refund off from the Porsche 911 wheel so that i can get another G25. The 2 G25s was chewed up in just about a year, the 911 only lasted a month or so... quite gutted about it.. and maybe i am a bad driver.

I think my Microsoft force feeback wheel is pushing 7 years now! Mind you after almost killing it with Driver when I first got it, it spent most of the time gathering dust until I recently started messing on with RBR.
