What is it with scary films and little girls

I've just got back from seeing Hostel and before it started there were 3 trailers in a row and every single one of them was some sort of scary/paranormal type film and every single one had a scary little girl in them, also 2 of the films also starred Sean Bean lol.

So why does every film feel the need to have a scary little girl in it, happens with video games too.

It's creepy because cute things shouldn't be scary. When they are it just makes it even scarier.

+ It's not something you'd really think of usually, until now of course

I know what you mean, im not even scared of murderers or aliens any more, its those damn innocent looking girls in red dresses that get me. I scream whenever I see one in town.
