I have a media a little QBIC now my question is this, when I boot the pc the proc shows up as a AMD 64 FX-F6 but when I had a look at the chip it was a sempron 2800 can any one sheed some light on this for me.

Update your BIOS if theres any update, possibly it dosen't know of the existence of your Sempron due to its age (the BIOS) and is misreading it.

why what makes you say oc now is it a FX or sempron and is it better than my 64 3700 single core should I swap over or is my 3700 doing just fine @2.5
