The specs of my PC are in my sig but I'll put them in here too...

Shuttle SS31T | Intel P4 3.06Ghz | 2x512MB PC2-4200 RAM | Sapphire X1950 Pro 256mb PCIe | 160GB Seagate Barracuda |
500GB Western Digital MyBook | Logitech G5 Gaming Mouse |
Samsung 19” Sync Master 913N (Primary) Samsung 26”
LE26R72BX HDTV (Secondary) |

I know both my CPU and RAM need an upgrade but I'm just thinking about what to replace first. In terms of gaming performance I think the RAM needs to be upgraded first? Thoughts?

TIA

RAM would be a good starting upgrade as you can then move that new DDR2 RAM into a new C2D rig or whatever in the not too distant future. As above, 2GB would be nice - espeically for games. If you have money burning a hole in your pokcet 4GB would be pimpin for Vista and future use. OcUK have a new OCZ 4GB kit for 200 notes ex vat iirc if your so inclined.

if you can fit one of the core2duo in your motherboard they are a good price at the moment and would probably be a big improvement over the current cpu you have, especially if overclocked.
