What is MEMTEST86?

Hey guys, keep getting blue screens all the time now and it's doing my head in, please see HERE to see what all that is about.

anyway a few people tell me i need to run memtest86 but i cant work out what its all about. can anyone give me further direction? got to solve this problem asap cos i literally cant use my computer for more than a few hours before it BSOD's again.

Mem test is a piece of software which tests the system ram for any errors, this tends to run as bootable software so The operating system does not inter fear.

Memtest86+...make a bootable CD from downloaded .iso file and run tests, if you get any errors whatsoever, you have some kind of ram problem, be it a faulty stick, compatibility issue, wrong setting(s) in BIOS etc...

Just remember to burn the ISO file to disc at the lowest speed ie x2 for best results

Thanks guys, downloaded a specific ISO burner and it worked perfectly.
