I would like to get a new monitor, but I need it for both work and gaming.
I currently have 3 x 24" 1080p Ben-Q monitors, but tbh, it was always a major pita getting a lot of games to run on triple monitors, and my old gaming machine could "just" about cope.
I share 2 of these monitors with my work machine, which I mainly use Quickbooks, Spreadsheets, Word and a browser.
So I have been thinking of replacing the 3 monitors with 1, but I would ideally like more desktop space for working on than the 2 1080p monitors currently.
The ultra wide monitors do look lovely, but am I going to get the same issues with gaming as with running 3 screens?
I had thought of a 4K monitor, but I think there may be some display/scaling issues with Quickbooks on such a high res.
I would like to go 1440p and 120hz, and what's the latest score with freesync or g-sync, I'm a bit out of the loop.
I am aiming to get a new machine and just combine it as both the work and gaming machine and looking at a Nvidia card, maybe a 2080ti if budget will stretch that far.
