What Is My Side Fan Up Too?

Ok I have a large 22cm fan blowing lovely cool air onto my mobo etc (installed within the side) - it has 5 blue led lights to boot. Trouble is the fan has stopped working, but the led's are still lit up, and moved the wires around a bit a few days ago and that kick started the fan again (loose connection).

However, now it has stopped working alltogether (still got the leds lit up) - do I need a replacement? The case is only a couple of months old and I am no way sending it back, plus having to take my entire system out :eek:

Think I will be able to return just the fan, if you guys think i can not repair it?

is your BIOS set to control the fan speed?

The LEDS would probably not come on if it was.

they would do since LEDs dont take much powering

. if it is controlled by the bios or fan controller it might just not be sending enough power to start/move a 22cm fan

Thanks for the replies, the bios does not control the fan speeds, I have direct control, should I send it back?

Try it on 12V direct from the PSU 1st.
