What is non Generic ram ?

would it work though as i have found 2x1gb sticks off ddr3 @1800mhz and run on 1.5v as the mobo spec's for £28 on fle bay
 
Ive used value ram before, ddr2 800 it was and it was fin, no overclocking leaway whatsoever but at stock speeds it was fine. I had it for 18 months problem free so it was fine for its rated speed.
Only issue i could see with obscure unbranded ram would be compatibility issues as your platform /motherboard is relativly new with less compat maybe, though someone else can comment on that aswell because im just guesisng there
 
i use value ram is 2 of my systems
works well, 1.85v
ddr2 800mhz 2x1gb can run at 444 1t upto 930
ddr2 800mhz 2x2gb can run at 555 2t up to 820

third system ocz reaper and platinum
ddr2 1066 2x2gb @555 2t @ 1066 2.0v
@444 1t @ 920 2.0v
ddr2 1066 4x2gb @444 2t @ 800 2.0v


depending on what you want to achieve, you decide if it worth while
