On eBay, what are you following views on the following two points:

1) When you buy something, how long do you expect to receive the item? Assuming: a) You pay instantly with Paypal; b) There are no "item will be sent after 5 working days" in the auction; c) The item will be sent Special Delivery.
If the auction ends before 3pm, I would expect to receive the item the following day.

2) Again, when you buy something, who do you expect to leave feedback first? The buyer, or seller?
The seller. You are paying them, and leaving you feedback is the least they ought to do.

My own answers for the above, are in yellow.

I imagine one or two OcUK members are wondering why I'm harping on about eBay etiquette.

Two instances caused this.

1) Won an item on Sunday, states Special Delivery. No sign of the item yet. If it hasn't turned up by tomrrow at 1pm (SD deadline), I will be phoning them up tomorrow.

2) Another seller wanted me to leave him +ve feedback. So I did. But I told him I expected most sellers to leave feedback, on the basis I paid for the item within five minutes.

I take onboard the fact some people will have 9-5 jobs. But they should say in their auction "please allow 1-2 days for delivery", so people know where they stand.
