I have two internal fans to help keep the pc cool. They both plug into the psu cable with those normal 4 pin connectors. There is also a single white wire going from the fans, what is this for? Do i connect them to the pwr and case fan terminals on the mobo, and whats the difference between the two?

Yes you do, something like chassis_fan1 or something like that. That way the pc can regulate the speed of the fan in line with the profile set ie sets it low when pc idling and high when gaming etc

if both of the connections are 3-pin, there will be no difference between them. If one has 4-pins, it is a PWM fan connector, and you may have to change a bios option for it to control the speed of the connected fan. Also, PWM connections do not work well on LED fans.

The PWR fan header cannot be controlled be the motherboard ie its always at full speed (hence the name).

The single wire from the fan plugs into any of the headers and only serves as a readout of the fan speeds (speed cannot be contrrolled using single wire).
