What is smithfield?

I ran CPU-Z and it says on my CPU data
Codename Smithfield

I take it all CPU's have this type of identifier but when looking around on retail sites I don't see this info. Where do you get that info from? And what does it mean?

A quick Google shows Smithfield to be the family name for the original Pentium D series (90nm).

Yep, I think it was the 8 series, the 9 series was Presler.
