Hi Guys , I am new here so hi to everone :) I would welcome any help anyone has to offer. I am still a bit of a noob at gaming but am loving it however although my computer is although only 6 months old games like Skyrim and LFD2 are almost impossible to play . . . unless you are a fan of playing as though you were running through treacle wearing deep sea diving boots! haha

I have an Acer Aspire ... Intel (R ) Core (TM) 2 Quad CPU Q8300@ 2.50Hz 2.5 GHz

4.00GB . . . 64 bit . . . with Intel G45/G43 Express Chipset onboard graphics
sorry if that is too much info : )

Please could anyone give me an idea as to what would be the best card for my computer, many thanks, Joni :)

Could you let us know what kind of price range you are looking at/how much room you have for the card in your case?

Could you also tell us your current PSU?

without knowing your budget or prefernce (ATI/Nvidia) then it is hard but for a reasonably cheap upgrade:

for under 200 quid this is a great bargain

or

also under 200 quid and will last a few years of gaming. If you want to spend more or less then I am sure forum members will be glad to advise :)

Welcome to the forum Joni

By looking at the picture of an opened Aspire M3802 the power supply dosn't seem to have any PCI_E power cables.

Just looked at the specs for this comp and Phatzy is spot on...even if it does have a 6 pin connector or 2, it has no chance of running a card of note as it is only a 250w psu.
The PSU will need replacing also before you upgrade.
