Is it worth the extra money from a 2060 super to a 3070 if you only play in 1080p?

you want to get the newer generation if possible but prices are greatly inflated at the moment so i would go for a cheaper card instead of a 3070 or wait a while to see if prices drop

if you cant build your own one than might be worth looking into

I was looking to get the 3700x with the 8gb 2060 super.

However I coukd probably only afford to upgrade to the 5800x or the 3070.

I'm not a huge gamer and will be playing mainly on 1080p and a lot of heavy football manager use tbh. Which combination do you think would suit best. I'm limited to around the 1400 mark all in for the tower

i think your plan is good since you are on a budget, plus your uses dont sound demanding.
