What is the best iPad that's not an ipad Pro?

As the title suggests, what is the best non pro iPad currently?

Looking to upgrade my mother's OLD ipad air for christmas with something modern as she's complaining her current one is slow and keeps on crashing.

Had a look and I don't really know what the difference is between the 2022 Ipad and the 2022 Ipad Air (Which I think are the most up to date ipads?), both are roughly the same price, I would have thought the Air as it uses the M1 Chip? But I'm clueless in all honesty.

Latest iPad (10th gen) is £499 new, iPad Air (5th gen) is £669. I think there is a quite a big price difference.

It really depends on your needs, if just for browning the web/streaming etc you will not notice a performance difference and would vote for the cheaper option. Both have the same screen size and usb-C. A14 vs M1 will not be noticeable in basic usage. The Air is 19g lighter...

I'd recommend the 10th gen iPad.

I got an ipad 10th gen brand new for from currys black friday for £385 for my gran. At that price it’s great.

At full price the air is far better and worth the price jump.
