I'm in a bit of a pickle here at the moment. I've not built a system for along time, any back when I did I was making the switch from SD-RAM to DDR. So that's at least what..? 7 years now. Because of this I've not been up to date with the latest happening is DDR2/3, as in what's the best choice for my next build.
The spec of the build I'm making sometime this month are as follows:
i7 950
Rampage III Extreme
nVidia GTX 480 (Going SLI at a later date.)
AX1200w (Large PSU for upgrades / Overclocks.)
I'm just wondering what RAM would be best for me? Keeping in mind that at sometime this year I will go Multi GPU and I Will be Overclocking the the CPU (4.2ghz hopefully) and GPU(s). I was eyeing up the Corsair Dominator GT's (Tri of course) but I'm not sure on which would compliment the other hardware I will be buying? If anyone could point me at the right RAM or to a decent guide I would be most grateful.
