MX-4s are popular these days. Use them myself and they're ok i guess, does the job.

Hi, this gets asked a lot, most good TIM,s maybe 1-2'c between them l'v been using MX4 since it came out but fancy a change so looking at Gelid extreme.

This is a really subjective question. I personally find MX-4 gives decent temperatures but other people find it doesn't. A lot depends on how you install it too.
In short, I'd recommend MX-4.

MX-4 isn't even as good as MX-3. Gelid GC-Extreme is also not as good as MX-3. Thermalright Chillfactor 3 is where it's at (cheap too)!
The best is actually Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra but it can be a pain to clean off unless you're not planning to remove your cooler often.

I've started using IC Diamond - it's unspreadable, but the idea is to let the component spread the paste out for you anyways. Pain in the ass to clean up but if you're not going to be switching out heat sinks or blocks much then I don't see any problem.

Just get some MX-2 though, it's good enough.
Without repeat applications and no ambient temps recorded, a bit pointless and I personally wouldn't use it as my buying guide.
