I can drive (practically) and going to book my test soon, so I am wondering what time is best for a driving test. I am gussing between 11 - 2. After the morning school run and before the afternoon runs. Or am I wrong here as it smack bang in the middle of lunch time.

did mine first thing (between 8:30 and 9 can't remeber now :( ) Seemed a good time as the examiner had to take me quite road to avoid the traffic and gave me no time to worry in the morning before my instructor pickd me up

Exactly, if you're genuinely competant to pass your test it shouldnt matter when you take it.

Doesnt really make much of a difference, I had mine mid morning around 11:15 or 11:45 cant remeber which.

The roads where very quiet. If you get a rush hour one, for morning or evening school run for example, then people tend to panic, all it means is that there is a bit more traffic on the roads and so you will be going a bit slower, chances are it will even give you less time moving in which to make mistakes.

I wouldnt worry about the time of day, its not all that important as long as you are wide awake and ready for it.

10am - 11am

Quiet time for traffic. Dont do it at 3:30pm like I did, all the kids are leaving school. Still...I passed with 2 minors :p

True, but if there's anything you can do to make it easier on yourself then you should do it.

I recommend the 8:30 slot really. Busier roads mean less time actually spent driving, and they have to get you back to the centre fairly shaprish.
