What is the cheapest GPU that could run at 144hz for desktop use only?

As per the title really. I don't need to play games only for web browsing really. If it could also output up to 240hz that would be even better. Second hand is fine.

your gonna need something with display port connection since i had issues doing it over hdmi. even somethng as old as a gt710 can do it if you can find a display port variant.

You can get a GTX 1050 second hand for about 80, seems to be decent value.

I bought one the other week when my 3080 died.No issues with CSGO or Valorant pushing high enough frames on my G9 :)

I picked up an RX 550 2GB to test Freesync @ 3440x1440 @ high refresh rates. Was the cheapest AMD card I could get my hands on that had the newer architecture required for those features.

What resolution are you looking at?

For 1080P/1440P 144Hz anything with Displayport 1.2 should be fine, so something as cheap as a Quadro K420
For 1080P/1440P 240Hz you need Displayport 1.3 or higher, so again a Quadro P400 is probably the cheapest bet
