what is the coolest nvida card made ?

i have a sli set up with 2x 470 and i cant atand nvsurround and want a 3rd gpu to run the side screens whilst sli runs the middle one ....

my question is what is the coolest card i can buy which will run off my mobo with no pci-e power as i dont want to induce more heat into the sli set up and it also has to be short to allow airflow to the fan off the second gpu so has to be shorter than 14cm and live in this space



so the requirements are
1/no extra power
2/14cm or less
3/very cool running possible passivly
4/ must have black pcb to match the theme lol

bare in mind this is just to run 2 extra screens in windows nothing else

Some different manufacturer of that card. Seems to tick all your requirements except the black pcb. The MSI version is black but uses 2 fans and may take up 2 slots.

What about older series cards as i dont really want to spend over 30 quid does anyone know off old cards i can get second hand?

Am I missing something here, why can't your sli run the side screens and the middle screen? You don't have to use NVsurround mode I assume.

I've for, god knows how long, run single/dual gpu setups and just game on a single screen, with the other screen working fine, with firefox/vlc/monitoring stuff/im stuff on the other screen.

Haven't done it for years on an Nvidia setup to be fair but, AMD have eyefinity, doesn't mean you have to use it, you can just run 2-3 screens as normal.

when you run 2gpu's in sli it will only output signal from one card so i have to disable and re enable sli evey time i game and i just hate hot nv surround use's the desktop space as it streches the window across all three screens

OT: I would go with a GTS 430 aswell, but it seems to be rather pricey.
