What is the deal with having duplicate menus in the BIOS

For instance, on the MSI BIOS, there is a System Menu and an OC Menu.. both of which has an AMD Overclocking menu inside.

I change settings on the system menu and the same changes don't reflect in the OC Menu.. it seems i have to make adjusts in both areas before changes take effect.

If i make a change in just one of the areas and press F10 to save and reboot, the summary comes up empty saying no changes are made.

This is also very similar experience i had with the Asus Bios. Am i the only one who feels this is super confusing?

You’re not alone.
Apparently a lot of meaningful changes only really happen if done under the OC area. I’m not really familiar with that as I gave up OCing on new CPUs, but seems to be the case.
But why not keep all the OC in one location? I understand the frustration as I, and possibly most, would assume that some OC options act as shortcuts to the real thing, when in fact they aren’t.

Only use the AMD section for settings that are only there and not in the main bios, the duplicate settings in the AMD section don't change from auto if change them in the main bios but they are applied when checking via monitors in windows.
