What is the faster CPU?

AMD 3700+ (single core) or Intel Core 2 Duo 1.50 GHz ?

I want to upgrade my PC that has the AMD but I think the Intel in the laptop I am thinking about will prob be not that much faster (if at all).

Well in what? Ones dual core and the others a single core so its impossible to compare without a specific program.

Also, what the cache and fsb of the core 2 duo in question.

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5250 (1.50 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB Cache)

Will be used for mainly I.E. and Windows Media Player, Office 2007 etc. Not really high end games.

I might just save my pennys for a bit more then and get the laptop with the Intel Core™2 Duo processor T7500 2.20 GHz , Level 2 cache 4 MB.

I guess that will be better then the AMD 3700+ so I might notice a difference.
