What is the height from mobo plate to cpu?

Does any one know how tall is processor on motherboard?, I need to know the total height from the plate where you attach mob up to processor where you attach cooler.

From PCB or from top of cpu socket frame?
Cpu socket frame sticks above the pcb a bit, around 2mm and cpu ( haswell ) is another 4mm or so. Add another 3mm for the mounting system.

Or I guess this is a weird way to determine if heatsink going to fit?
You know that if you have your case desvription and it sais the clearance is 160mm, that is 160mm from the top of cpu bracket

Does he not mean the motherboard tray itself rather than the motherboard? If so, you'd have to add another few mm on for the mobo spacers.

Morfinel, you would have to add the following:
- The length of standoffs in your case
- Thickness of your motherboard's PCB (this varies )
- Then add few mm, can't say exactly how many because we still don't know what socket your motherboard have.
