What is the issue with my laptop?

Dropped it on the floor, and this happened.

And if someone could provide an estimated cost to repair, that would be great :)
 
ouch, that looks nasty :/ maybe see if some computer retailers can give you an estimate, i think they normally are free estimates, depending where you go :)
 
New screen needed :(
Will be around £70 mark for the screen then fit it yourself :)

Not for this model its a 16" screen so will be £130 updwards. And its a bit more tricky to fit than your normal screen as the bezel can't be taken off fully to access the inverter cable so its a case of pulling it forward as much as you can and lifting the panel out the casing.

My bad...didnt notice where he stated the model number of laptop? :)
Cant really make it out from photo either (well not clearly at least) :)
 
If I move the screen around a bit, I can get about half of the screen to look normal, does this mean the screen is 100% screwed? Or could it be a few loose connections?
