What is the name of this game

saw this in the image thread, and remember playing this game when i was incrediably young. I remember laughing so hard at this game, and getting stuck so often
I want to play it again, and because I was so young I can't remember the name of the game.

Anyone know what it is called?

Yes this is The Neverhood. I actually made the same topic a few months ago trying to work out what it was called.

it was great. I was a kid and i got stuck on simple puzzles really easily. That screenshot i got is embeeded in my mind, because one of the puzzles was to open a safe you need to go around the map and press 4 buttons. One of them being red. And i was like "yes! I found the red button!" as i confidently walked up to the red button, thinking it was all over. The the boxing glove came out and smacked me in the face ^^

I get excited about it by just talking

Ran like pants on windows iirc. It was the Win95 era wasn't it?

I thought it was DOS aswell, but I got a old XP laptop for this sort of thing ^^

It could have been both. For some reason I recall Win95 and the very, very early DirectX predecessor whose name I can't remember. It's aim was to allow games to run in early windows environments but required silly amounts of cpu power. Argh, it'll bug me all day now!
