From a insider friend, he says Blizzard are planning to develop World Of StarCraft after the expansion after WoTLK.
If you want to beat WoW this is how you do it.
First of you build a very good story line, make sure your able to edit it without making space paladins.
Then you create the world, lots of detail, lots of interactive elements and nice graphics, not crysis like.
Then you choose the classes, too many and it gets complicated, too little and it gets boring, make them unique and watch class balance closely.
Then you turn it into a FPS, making it a FPSMMORPG with 3rd party option, add physics, add interact able physics elements e.g. boulders blocking doors making them unable to be opened etc.
Then you try your hardest to hold onto the original development team otherwise you loose the plot and make space paladins.
Then you market it well and make it nice and cheap to buy and monthly sub.
Your done, you'll have a winner.
The thing that puts me off Age of Conan is the community. The M rating they are aiming for seems to be attracting just the sort of players you would expect in an M rated game...
I doubt that. The first Guild Wars was average at best, and even the lack of a monthly subscription didn't help it gain anything more than a niche following. Warhammer, Conan and such are looking far more threatening than Guild Wars 2 and those aren't exactly denting WoW's playerbase either.
I cannot see people flocking to Guild Wars 2, simply because it's not 'made that way'. It's not what the general 10 million WoW players are looking for.
Mature adults? Got to be better than squeaky teenagers.
There is no next WoW. WoW is not the end nor the begining it is as is.
Some people seem to have trouble telling the difference. You're talking about "God", not WoW
That has all been done before in Star Wars Galaxies, minus the wall bit.![]()
I didn't actually know that Age Of Conan cities were going to be instances. That's pretty lame.Actually, Star Wars Galaxies did it better than Age of Conan..at least in SWG the player cities were integral and part of the game world. Unfortunately in AoC the player cities are instanced and thus not "part" of the game world. You wont just wander along and bump into a player city like you could in SWG.
Do you have nightmares about space paladins?
