stokefan said:Hi all,
Am i right in thinking that the Wii classic controller will be for just retro games downloaded?
stokefan said:well I've always struggled to understand how footy games are going to work, do we think it'll use the classic remote then?
would it be worth getting one even if i dont want to download any classic games?

Snow-Munki said:yeah believe you can but only on certain VC.
There was a grid somewhere explaining what controllers match up with what VC's
I don't think that 'classic' in this sense necessarily means old, i think they'll still develop games that have a normal control pad layout.Hedge said:probably not. I think its main appeal is for old school games
dirtydog said:Can you not use the classic controller as an alternative to the 'remote', in regular Wii games?
Kreeeee said:Would be crap for that, the sticks are in the wrong place.
fini said:you turn the controller 90 degrees so that it's like a standard controller with a d-pad and a+b buttons.
fini said:amount of mis-information in this thread is crazy.
The classic controller can only be used in VC games.
The gamecube controller is the only controller that can be used for gamecube games.
The classic controller will not work outside of VC games.
For wii designed games that can't make use of the wiimote's movement capabilities (such as football games) you turn the controller 90 degrees so that it's like a standard controller with a d-pad and a+b buttons.
