What is the Wireless range like for the d-link G604T?

Ive just got one, and I have it just above light switch hight, heres a pic.

It wont travel about 8meters into the front room but it works in the upstairs bedroom thats above the front room??

But What I dont get is the laptop detected another connection that would be at least 40meters away from my house, and my router cant ever cover 8meters. Have I got a s*** router?

Well, mine is in the front bedroom and I can get a signal on my lappy at the back of the garden (approx 35 mts) with only the occasional loss of signal.
This is through concrete walls as well.

Sounds like the router to me

The router is upstairs is it? mine is downstairs.

Just tested the laptop outside and it works 20+ meters, so there must be something stopping it working in the front room :confused:
