what is there to do on ps3?

You can fold at home, watch BR movies, play PS2 games, connect wireless (it's built right in there) Look in envy at the US store, dust it but be careful not to scratch it, other than that not sure what you can do with it :)
It's quite easy to actually buy stuff from the US store though. Just go to www.entropay.com and setup an account and then you can purchase to your hearts content :D

What a suprise - another person who bought a launch console and is then complaining about lack of titles!

You don't think anyone is justified in complaining at the lack of games then?

For what it's worth I sold my PS3 but not because of the lack of games, because the car blew up and I needed the money. I'll be getting another one, but not until later in the year when there are more games available.

he never said that, he said expect it before you drop so much cash on one. common sense really, isnt it?

no it isnt, not at all. the amount of people buying a £400 console and then complaining about it is quite worrying. I wouldnt spend £400 on something i didnt research first, and that is why i have no problems with my ps3 because i know what i wanted from it.

its a case of more money than sense perhaps? i mean come on, it cant be because people are spending £400 just to jump on a bandwagon, can it? or can it?
My thoughts exactly.

The complaints I've heard from early adopters about the PS3 so far are have been a poor reflection on the buyer rather than the console.

None of the issues so far weren't commonly known or expected.

well my ps3 hasnt been turned on in about a month, so far i have 4 games, motorstorm, resistance, def jam icon and full auto 2, i even went out and bought a bluetooth headset to use online, but since most other people dont have one i dont know if it works or not, all the games seem very poor, my 360 gets used every other day, i wish i never upgraded to vista because source crashes evey 2 mins otherwise i would be playing CS all the time, is there anything worthwhile on the ps3, tekken was good for a while from their store, everything else was just cack, people may think this is a fanboy comment but i genuinely think the ps3 is cack and a waste of money, anyone who defends it is a fanboy, yeas its powerful, yes its well built, but all the games are **** so whats the point?

rant over, also i dont like the wii even though ive never played one, hopefully next gen the xbox 3 will have killer games out every month

ive got a ps3, but play CSS all the time.

No I don't, at least not this far after launch anyway. It's not difficult to look online and see whats out now and then see whats due for release for the rest of the year is it?

And besides, it's the same story with virtually every console launch ever. I don't usually buy a console at launch but rather wait until it's been out for at least six months to a year so that there are at least a few quality titles to play, but even then you are not spoilt for choice. I only got the PS3 before launch because someone offered it me, otherwise I would have waited until Christmas time.

Again, agree totally.

It's weak to complain about something that you should have known beforehand.

If people don't know what they're spending their money on, at least for the short term, then more fool them for being so wasteful with their money.

the ps3 has been out for 7 months now, maybe not in this country but in the US and Japan, although it was launched here only a couple of months ago you cant say that it was just launched, its been out for 7 months and still only has a few decent games, im sure after the 360 was launched 7 months down the line it had over a hundred games and at least 20 decent ones

i bought the ps3 because i loved my ps2, my brother loved it too and i bought him his own one, so i have 2 working ps2's still, the ps3 has just been a dissapointment, PS3 adverts saying this is truely next gen and this is living and all the hype it has around it was a complete show, they have messed up big time and i bought it because i was one of their loyal customers, but i will be buying most games on my 360 and definetely be buying the next xbox on launch without any research needed, i however wont be buying the next ps on launch unless to sell it on ebay

Give it time, its what 6months?

The ps3 is by far a more complete happy all in one true next gen package.

It's not even six months, it's been out in the UK for 2 months and 1 week. Hardly enough time to get a game out the door, let alone the hundreds the OP is demanding. For his information there are more games out in USA and Japan as well compared to here, which don't see the light of day over here.

You bought a PS3 on the strentgh of the PS2 and it's left you dissatisfied, and yet you already say you'll by the next Xbox on the strength of the 360.

Have you learnt nothing? :p

I got a nice Blu Ray Player and some average-decent games, hell i aint complaining... Yet ive always assumed the PS3 would have a difficult start.

Shame about online though as its very limited at present, i miss the voice too and lobbies seem boring without it. UK PSN is best described as embarrising at present with Sonys main aim to offer really exciting TV adverts and sell you something. Very little free content worth talking about, particulary as most of the free demos will be of games some have already got. Considering Sonys position in the music and movie industries it is very, very poor.

Yeah its all for changing but damn hadnt they enough time already?

the main reason i prefer it is because of its online system, the online system will never change and hasnt done by much since it was launched, ive had live for about 3-4 years now and since day 1 of having it it has kept its same consistency of doing well, i had my ps2 online for about 4-5 years and the only 1 memorable moment was socom 1, best online game ive ever played on a console, better than any 360, pc or ps3 game, the gameplay was immense, online that is, single player was cack, if they had kept this gameplay in socom 2 it would have been brilliant but they messed it up, bigger maps doesnt always neccessarily mean better gameplay, a good mixture of small and medium maps works best online for consoles because of the small number of players, when you can get 40-60 player games on a console i expect such big maps

i can't believe people are trying to defend the fact that the PS3 had a incredibly poor list of launch titles - even worse, blaming the buyers for not researching first! Talk about clutching at straws.

The 360 had a great launch line up, one of the best i'd say. I think it was PGR3, Kameo, Condemned, GUN, COD2...

As it stands the PS3 is a massively expensive, but highly disappointing console so far...but i agree, in time, there will be a few decent games out...but probably just rehashes of all the past decent PS2 games (gran turismo, metal gear...etc etc).

THE game that stands out for me is Little Big World...looks outstanding.

7 months into the 360's life and there was barely even 30 titles, never mind 100.

I can understand where you're coming from because I have a 360 and PS3, with the PS3 hardly ever switched on. However, I see this as being the problem - if I didn't have a 360 there would be a lot more titles I'd like on the PS3.
For instance, the only PS3 exclusive games that interested me at all were Motorstorm and Resistance - the latter of which I played and didn't like, with the former being quite enjoyable. If I didn't have a 360 already, I'd probably be tempted to buy any of the following:

Ridge Racer
Tiger Woods 2007
Splinter Cell
Oblivion
Fight Night Round 3
F.E.A.R
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Call Of Duty 3
Enchanted Arms

All of which I either own or have owned at one point or another on the 360 and enjoyed very much. So, if I didn't have a 360 there's over 10 titles that I probably would have bought for the PS3.

At the moment there's simply no real point in owning both consoles because the PS3 is lacking good, exclusive titles. I don't see this changing until towards the end of the year, but by Christmas I'm sure there will be many good reasons to have a PS3.
