Ok, bear with me. I moved into my Dad's flat and he had his av gear all set up with this all in one remote:

He had the following all running through an Onkyo TX-SR578 and a really old Pioneer plasma. Fortunately the Sonos is staying!
- Onkyo receiver
- Humax PVR
- Apple Tv
- Wii
- Sonos
- DVD
I'm going to swap out his Humax for my identical one, leave the Sonos, Apple TV and obviously use the Onkyo receiver.
So it'll be:
- Onkyo
- Sonos
- Humax
- Apple TV
- Amazon FireTv
- Bluray player
- Raspberry Pi Kodi
All going into my Panasonic plasma.
The Onkyo has 4 HDMI in so not sure if I can make all the above work easily. Happy to ditch the Apple TV and Pi for the time being but I do have HDMI switchers.
Bit of a noob to av receivers and all in one remotes, I just had everything going into my TV at my old flat
