What is this cable called?

Defiantly DVI-I (Digital and Analogue) dual link :

"DVI cables can be a single link cable that uses one TMDS transmitter or a dual link cable with two transmitters. A single link DVI cable and connection supports a 1920x1080 image, and a dual link cable/connection supports up to a 2048x1536 image."

I'm not sure how that helps?

You can still only run one display from it.

Are you sure thats a HDMI socket it looks more like a display port which you can get a disply port to dvi lead and run 2 screens

See, you've said it now.

I looked at it and thought is that HDMI or DisplayPort?

It looks like it's got 2 angles corners so must be HDMI.

Now you've put doubt in my mind.

The OP will have to tell us.
