can you get an adapter that will use their original dvi cable and convert that to HDMI?

Yes, but I didn't suggest one of those as it doesn't look like it would fit alongside a DVI cable in the DVI connector.

I'm not sure how that helps?

You can still only run one display from it.

Are you sure thats a HDMI socket it looks more like a display port which you can get a disply port to dvi lead and run 2 screens

It looks like it's got 2 angles corners so must be HDMI.

Now you've put doubt in my mind.
