I'm wondering if i can get an extension cable for the cable below for my speakers but don't know what type of cable it is. anyone know that name of it?

ah have actually found the cable now though not the exact name and afaik i can't seem to find it with the different ends so it can extend a current cable but maybe that is just the picture.
have asked this before but will ask incase new technology has been released.
rather then getting an extension cable for my speakers (Creative GigaWorks ProGamer G500) i would prefer to get a wireless controller for them however finding one is difficult. i have seen other sets, logitech mainly but also creative speakers, which have a wiresless controller but not for my set.
anyone know of something i could use? although the speakers are mainly used for my pc i do have them connected to a tft directly which is connected to a dvd player via hdmi cable so if there is something else i could use it would need to be able to control them without the use of a pc.
im thinking something that will plug into the headphone spot maybe?
