What is this cable?

I'd be more than happy to take pics but the quality of them won't be great...I need/want a new camera but the pesky little accountant in my head is still having palpitations over the new build.:p

I'm chuffed, it will be my first build:D benhausens thread is excellent and has put my mind somewhat at ease with the task in hand.
 
maybe a extension for the led on light in the front panel, or may actually be for it.

ive seen the smaller plug used for the fans on older gfx cards
 
it does look very much like a fan connector of some sorts. are there any fans on the front/side/rear that arent moving?

and im sure the manual will tell you something about it.

looks like that case has a blue ring on the front. does it light up?

if all else fails, are you sure the cable comes from the case? not a the CPU cooler, PSU, GPU?

just have a good look around the case for anything which will fit the connector. best bet is to look at the front panel first

Tell it it's getting a pay rise and it'll be off your back for a few weeks.

I'd say to get in touch with the support too, it's not likely to be important if nobody recognises it but better safe than sorry etc.
 
it looks similar to the spdif cable i got with my 9800GX2 to allow me to connet my graphics card to the spdif out on my sound card to make full use of the onboard hdmi connection.
 
thanks guys. I still have no clue what it is, I took the case apart and it doesn't seem to belong anywhere. I have contacted Lian-Li, I will post a response when they get back to me.
