what is this cartoon

i am trying to remember the name of a cartoon i used to watch in the year 2000 or there abouts, it was about a bear and his little sidekick (not sure what it was) that used to say "iski piski" (i have no idea how to say it!!)
they used to travel around the world on a island that was powered by a volcano, they were searching for something, or somewhere but i cant remember where maybe australia!!

i think it is called something island!! the something maybe the name of the bear!!

i have searched all over the internet and cannot find a thing!!

its really bugging me now!!

Aye, it was pimp when they unleashed the volcano and poomed that floating heap forward. It was sort of like Lost, in cartoon form... and with better acting.
