Error mounting /dev/sdb4 at /media/edward78/20530DFA7D551EE0: Command-line `mount -t "ntfs" -o "uhelper=udisks2,nodev,nosuid,uid=1000,gid=1000,dmask=0077,fmask=0177" "/dev/sdb4" "/media/edward78/20530DFA7D551EE0"' exited with non-zero exit status 14: The disk contains an unclean file system (0, 0).
Metadata kept in Windows cache, refused to mount.
Failed to mount '/dev/sdb4': Operation not permitted
The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state. Please resume and shutdown
Windows fully (no hibernation or fast restarting), or mount the volume
read-only with the 'ro' mount option.

To fix it, boot up your Windows install and cleanly shut it down rather than hibernating it. Then you can boot to Linux and the drive should mount fine. You may find that you have to turn hibernation support off and on again from Windows if it's still not right - quickest way to do that IMO would be from command prompt, do "powercfg -h off" then "powercfg -h on" with Administrator rights.

As long as you don't try and boot Linux with your Win drive still in a hibernated state then you should be able to mount the drive fine.

The last time I shut it off, the USB speakers were still on & I thought that was odd... When it shutdown before everything went off.. I don't need hibernate anyway, I will just turn it off & leave it... Odd side effect though... .

Thanks...
