What is this game? (modernish FPS)

Im wracking my brains out trying to remember which game this is.

Its a PC game from this era, it may even be on the consoles (in the last 5 years max I think) so its not a retro dos oldy.

Basically, I 'think' its a modern day military type shooter but the first mission/prologue mission is set around the WW2 time (so its like going back in time just for the first mission) and you are attacking an island in Asia I think trying to find something or someone. Im pretty sure at the end of the mission there is an explosion like a nuke going off or something.

Im starting to think it is one of the CoD games but Im not sure.

Anyone know what Im barking on about?

I did think that but Ive never played it / own it so I dont think its that (just looked on youtube)

It may even be a shooter that is a bit sci-fi or fantasy and that first mission explains how it all began or something. Its driving me nuts.
Im pretty sure you play the mission at night too.

Yes! Thats it, of course. I was being so dumb, Id forgotten that Bad Company 2 had a singleplayer campaign. I did think of BC2 earlier but crossed it off as I only used to play multiplayer on it.
