Anyone know what this is?


Haha.. there's me telling the GF that isn't a sting it's not sharp enough :|
it's a special kind of wasp somone else posted one i can't remember it.
It's an Ichneumon wasp, and it's not a sting.
So what is it? An ovipositor? (For those who don't know, that wasn't sarcasm. An ovipositor is a "tube" used for laying eggs. For example crickets use one to bury their eggs deeper into sand/soil)
Yep, it is indeed. IIRC each species will normally lay eggs in a different, specific insect. No idea what one that is in the OP though, there's loads of different ones.
