What is this partition?

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me what this 30gb partition is doing on my c drive? I dont remember creating it.

On this laptop i have a partion similar to yours , although smaller , which is used by my backup utility to store original files or something (my laptop's Acer

). If you don't need to make more room then i'd leave it there if i was you .

If it's a pre-built PC or laptop, then it's likely to be the recovery partition as mentioned above, it means the supplier doesn't have to give you CDs, and they still get to install their rubbish next time round.

Seems like a lot of space to reserve for a restore partition, normally it would be a gig or 2 in size.
