What is this performance Overlay?

I have inadvertently enabled a performance monitoring overlay and don't know where it has come from or how to disable it, it seems to be a windows one.

Anyone know?

It's the Steam one. Just turn it off in the Steam settings.

Excellent, Thank you, that is it, I had no idea Steam had one, I had steam overlay disabled to try and reduce the memory impact of the horribly inefficient Steam client but when I went to Play BF6 it would not launch with out Steam Overlay, so I renabled it, I did not make the connection that I somehow enabled that portion too.

Took me ages to find it was Steam doing that as I inadvertently assigned the same shortcut key used to display it, to then show my own.
At least the Steam performance monitor can easily be turned off.
