What is this thing?

Every so often i see these things that i don't really like. They look a bit like this




They sort of walk around, but i can never see their legs. They are only about 2-3mm long (why i can't get a decent photo). I used to see them under bins, but i saw one in the toilet just now, and yester day, there was either one already in the sink, or, one came out of the tap, but i didn't see it till i turned on the tap.

Can anyone identify what it is? Should I be worried? Do these things even exist or am I a bit mental?

no, its not a silver fish, i couldn't see any massive horns on it.

could it be a carpet beetle larvae? have a look under any cabinets etc , under the fridge see if you can see aload of empty shells that shape

I found the OP really disturbing tbh. Couldn't work out if what he was seeing was actually real or not.
