What is this tree....

Hey all, I walk this way to and from work all the time and suddenly in the last few weeks this tree has blossomed in someone randoms front garden and I think its really nice

Anyone able to tell me what it is? I admit that its not the best photo, if we need a better one I will try, but its hard to take a picture of someone's front garden without looking like a pervert (its so small I'll basically be taking a picture into their living room)!

Yes, it's a magnolia. They are technically a shrub, but some varieties will grow to the size of trees, and when the big ones are in flower, they are pretty darn impressive.
