So since I can last remember my PC has liked to wake itself up, never bothers me too much and I go through stages of trying to trouble shoot to no avail. It has gotten especially worse recently, so before I go for a complete re-install of windows do you guys have any last ditch ideas? It does this in both sleep and hibernate my main use is hibernate

CMD powercfg -lastwoke returns pretty much nothing doesn't even try to state a source.

Event viewer also isn't much help just states wake source unknown.

No my mouse cannot wake my pc so it is not sudden movement of my mouse in the night as well as it is wireless and it gets turned off.

I have disabled wake timers and wake on lan so it can't be either of those.

The times are random and I can't notice any real pattern, no link in times it wakes no link in lengths it will hibernate for.

Here are so images of the most recent wakes;

the most interesting thing I've noticed is a two week spout of this however;

in that two week period was this;

it is the only entry of windows telling me what woke the PC and not just stating it could be that, but why if I have them disabled is it still waking and what does it even mean?

EDIT: I am googling as i post but thought i'd post if google doesn't fire any thing back

Maybe a long shot but is "wake on LAN" enabled in the bios? (if your mobo supports this)

since its got worse have you installed any new software which maybe waking the PC randomly?

I guess you already followed MS guides like here
and neither powercfg -waketimers or powercfg/devicequery wake_armed yield anything ?
I had found windows media player causing wakes.

Presumably no remote access to PC such that someone else has installed timers. (thinking on the lines of the recent teamviewer threads/threats)

control panel -> network Connections -> right click on your NIC -> properties -> click configure

Go to Advanced TAB
Scroll down to
Wake on Link Settings = disable
Wake on Magic Packet = disable
Wake on Pattern Match = disable
Go to power managment tab make sure all boxes on this tab are unticked
