What is with EA's lack of love for STEAM in the U.K, or is it obvious?

As we know, E.A has little to no love for STEAM in the U.K.

I thought this was a digital download thing, but after looking on Direct2Drive for the U.K, they have a large number of Electronic Arts titles.

Is this simply down to the fact that E.A Fear STEAM?

What is going on?

It's probably down to how much money they can make, they may get a great profit share from D2D than they would through Steam, totally speculational.

I think it's due to pricing - the games in € are twice the price they are in $. EA would probably get a smack from the European Union if there was still twice the price difference between £ and €.

Um...

EA are Valves Distributors. I'm sure it's a "You can distribute our stuff but we dont want your gaff on our platform" kinda thing.

..but EA's games are available on Steam in every other region (apart from Japan). Even just across the puddle over in Ireland, you can buy Mirror's Edge, Mass Effect et al on Steam.

Apparently, EA hates UK Steam customers.

If this is the case it can only be an issue with currency and pricing

I dont know why you're complaining. Steam is the only place with a list of Top Sellers that doesn't contain the bloody SIMS ;)
