Yesterday i installed an e7200 with a TRUE however the temps i am being given are wierd.

I first installed Bios 702 for my P5E and then installed the cpu and Heatsink.

I put a small rice grain size blob of MX-2 in the centre of my cpu and heatsink and then proceeded to install them.

Once i had loaded into windows i used Coretemp which was sauying that my CPU was idleing at 38/37'. I then immediately reseated my heatsink (this time spreading the MX-2 evenly across the whole CPU and installed the TRUE to find my temps at the following

CoreTemp Beta 0.99 - 47'/45'
Speedfan - 31'
Real Temp 2.5 - 36'/33'

After that i ran Orthos and the temps remained the same except rose by 1' and dropped every few seconds.

Anyone mind helping me?

Asus P5E - 702 Bios

Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme with 120mm Yate Loon
OCZ 2x2Gb GOLD Series.

why not read the instructions for applying the paste? they have them on their website

also, how flat is your TRUE?

Ive tried it the way it said on the website, no difference really.

My true is very flat (i held a metal ruler against it and there was no gap anywhere.)
