Evening all!
Ok, I've tracked down the issue with the grip shifters on my old bike, but I don't know how to address it.
It's an old Shimano SIS system, 3x5 speed.
The rear shifting is fine - one click = one gear, up and down. Perfect.
On the left shifter, the hard limits are ok, I've set those. There are 3 clicks between each gear marking on the shifter. What I'm finding is that to shift gear, the shift itself is clean, but then the derailleur rubs on the chain, and I have to go back one click to align things properly.
I'm only just learning about bikes, and although I indexed my SRAM x5 shifters on my other bike the other night, I have no clue about the gripshift system.
Cheers for any help.
