Vista x64 HP here.

Installed on a new build in spring this year and despite the horror stories circulating at the time (driver problems, program problems and apparently slow at running games) it's been absolutely faultless.

Far better than XP.

Well I have 4 x 32 bit OS on 2 PC's both dual booting. Not interested in 64 bit until all the software & games I use run on it. MS must love how much money I have given them for this little lot:eek:

Vista Ultimate x 1
Vista Home Premium x 2
XP Pro SP3 x 1

Mind if I ask why one machine has two Vista installs?

XP Pro,

I also have Vista Ultimate on a spare HD. To be honest I don't see much difference between, I'll probably make the full jump to Vista when I'm running a better machine. At the moment I don't need to address that much memory and the performance drop on my hardware is too big.

Vista is nice to look at but apart from the new look interface, the more proactive security and the friendlier installer is doesn't seem much different. Most of the changes seem to be copied from Ubuntu. Considering the step from 2000 to XP took 18 months, Vista doesn't look like something that's 5 years in the making.
